The Story of Spices: From Farm to Your Kitchen
Every spice in our collection begins its journey in carefully tended farms across India. From the chilli fields of Andhra Pradesh to the turmeric plantations of Tamil Nadu, we source our spices directly from farmers who have been growing these crops for generations.
After harvest, the spices are sun-dried using traditional methods that concentrate their natural oils and flavours. We avoid the use of artificial dryers, which can alter the chemical composition of the spice and reduce its aroma.
Once dried, the spices travel to our facility where they are cleaned, sorted by hand, and then stone-ground in small batches. We grind fresh every week to ensure maximum potency and freshness.
Our packaging is designed to protect the spices from light and moisture, the two biggest enemies of spice quality. We use food-grade sealed pouches that lock in the aroma until you are ready to use them.
When you open a packet of Shri Annapurna spice, you will immediately notice the difference - a deep, complex fragrance that fills the room. This is the mark of truly fresh, high-quality spice.
